I have some exciting news! That box of dirt that I was anxiously staring at everyday finally proved that it wasn’t just a box of dirt and cute little mushrooms shot through last week.
I was fairly busy last week and didn’t get a chance to check on the mushrooms and just when I took my eyes off them, they appeared. So it’s not a dud as I mentioned in my last mushroom post. However, I had expected them to grow more evenly spread out, not in little clumps here and there.
They have been growing so quickly since the first few appeared! I have enough to make something with them now. Perhaps a beef and mushroom stew or a creamy mushroom soup?

That is SUCH a great idea for something fun to do with kids, I’ll have to borrow it!

Hey, I’ve had a great time growing these mushrooms, the only thing is that with the weather warming up, they need to be kept in a cool place and watered every day otherwise they dry up (very quickly) and die.
